Huiyee Chiew (周慧儀) is a Malaysian journalist based in Taipei. She is an editor at udn Global 《轉角國際》, a news media outlet focusing on international news. Additionally, she co-produces and co-hosts daily podcast programs for 轉角國際新聞 Daily Podcast, which has ranked among the top 10 podcasts in the News category in Taiwan on Apple Podcasts.


Her reporting primarily focuses on human rights and social justice issues across the regions, including topics such as the death penalty in Singapore, Burmese journalists reporting under a coup, undocumented migrant workers in Taiwan, feminism in China, and more.


She was the merit winner at the 2020 Human Rights Press Awards for her work on Stateless Bajau Laut in Malaysia. She also received an Honorable Mention from the Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) in 2023 for her coverage of the 2022 Philippines presidential election. And her collaborative investigation into the mass deaths of the Batek tribe in Malaysia was recognized as a finalist by SOPA in 2021.
